The thing we find the most about working with people that you actually like is that you really want to hang out outside of work. On set and throughout the creative process, Wondergold Pictures chooses people that we'd be friends with. We find that the work is better when we collaborate well, and we collaborate well with these people.
After our launch this spring, we knew we needed to get this group of talented people together off set. One of crew members is a co-owner of the Lansing-area bar, Sleepwalker Spirits.
If you know any of our Lansing crew, you know we will brag about their "Jagged Little Dill" pizza and are unpaid influencers of this menu item.

The Sleepwalker team knew we wanted a custom cocktail, and they did not disappoint. We present to you "The Wondergold" made with edible glitter. It tasted + looked as magical as we could have imagined! Rhubarb, orange, vodka, glitter. What more do you want?!
We invited the team, our creative collaborators, and those who helped make Wondergold Pictures come to life over the last two years. Our goal was to celebrate. Together. Outside of work, off Zoom, no client needs, no deadlines.

We're thinking that we need a crew and client party every year to celebrate the creative work that we do in the Midwest.
Thanks to all who came out, and those who couldn't make it who do the work to support our small business and make Wondergold Pictures come to life. We're excited about our growing impression on the creative field and the intentional visual creation that we do with this team.
Later in the night, my team jokingly shouted "speech!!!" I think what I'd say now that I didn't say then would sound something like this:

As an agency, we want to support our clients by crafting stunning visuals.
We want those visuals to promote a better consumer culture and build better relationships for our buying habits.
We believe that businesses have an impression on the world and we want to support those who make it better. We want to be one of those businesses who make it better.
More sustainable, more beautiful, more connecting. Real.
And part of that for us in the video production and marketing fields is supporting our crew.
The work we want to do can only be done with a solid team behind it. A team that is rested, fulfilled, well-paid, and able to access their creative talents and strengths. We hope the work you continue to do with Wondergold Pictures allows you to have the life you want, and while it is likely only a portion of the work you do, we hope it is your FAVORITE. 💓 Because you are our favorites.
Celebrating together, sharing moments outside of work, advocating for play and for joy, and finding pride in what we do—that's a value of ours.
We hope you feel celebrated and proud to join us on the projects we do. This night was the culmination of two years of building a business from the ground up that embodies our values and yours. I'm so happy to have people like you around to make the work worth it.
